Taking part in The Friends of Dorothy film club will open up all kinds of opportunities.
· TFOD has the potential to be a hub for cross pollination between other queer groups throughout the student body and across Montreal. This will give you greater connection with your queer community and allies.
· If you are an artist, curatorial experience and community organizing will help you in your future career.
· If you are planning on applying for grants and scholarships, volunteer experience in a community organization is often required as part of the application.
· If you are applying for graduate studies, having been part of an organization like The Friends of Dorothy is an added bonus for your C.V.
· By getting involved at this stage, you have the chance to be part of the development of the club and help shape the future of student life at Concordia, and indeed, the community development of the Queer Community and allies in Montreal.
· Most of all, this will be fun and exciting and a bonus in your social life.
